Biden's Cabinet Picks Are Unsurprisingly Awful

As President Trump finally begins to concede the election(sort of), Biden has started staffing up. While many positions still remain vacant, we’ve already seen enough names to get a good idea of how the Biden administration is going to look. Here’s what has been reported on to date.
Secretary of State: Biden plans to nominate Antony Blinken. While he is not as awful a pick as Susan Rice (who was expected to be nominated), he does not leave me with much hope. Blinken previously served as Obama’s Deputy Secretary of State and prior to that, as his Deputy National Security Advisor. Blinken supported the 2003 Invasion of Iraq, was a major player in America’s Syria policy, and supported America’s 2011 military intervention in Libya. Blinken loves war and is likely to do a fab job helping Biden continue old ones and start new ones. The warmongers don’t end here however.

Director of National Intelligence: Biden has taken real initiative and picked Avril Haines for this position. Haines was the first female Deputy Director of the CIA, where she worked closely with John Brennan on the Obama administration’s “targeted killings” by drones. If that is not bad enough, she was a vocal supporter of Donald Trump’s nomination of Gina Haspel to become CIA Director. Haspel was actively involved in the CIAs black site tortures in 2002, and 2003.

If this isn’t enough bloodlust for you, don’t worry.

National Security Advisor: Biden has chosen Jake Sullivan for this role. Sullivan is basically a version of Pete Buttigieg that is smart enough to know he can never really win an actual election(mayor of a city with less than one hundred thousand people doesn’t count). Sullivan has served as a senior advisor to Hillary Clinton(both as a presidential candidate and as Secretary of State). In the Obama administration, Sullivan served as Deputy Assistant to the President and was Vice-President Biden’s National Security Advisor. Sullivan takes credit for being involved in shaping US policy in Libya, Syria, and Myanmar. Which means Sullivan believes America should be the world’s policeman, he supports regime change, and the military industrial complex(Hooray).

United States Ambassador to the United Nations: Linda Thomas-Greenfield was chosen, and is another bad, yet predictable choice. She has a long resume but has stayed out of the limelight. She previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for Urban Affairs(a position that probably should not even exist), before that she served as Director General of the United States Foreign Service and prior to that, she was Ambassador to Liberia. Greenfield is not as egregious a pick as the above, but like all the others, she is part of the political establishment and the military industrial complex. America is back, and that means death and destruction for so many innocent people around the world.
